Give the Gift of Safe Surgery

Because when Surgery is Safe, Families Stay Whole

Around the world, millions of people undergo surgery without the basic tools and training needed to stay safe. When surgery isn’t safe, families lose mothers, fathers, and children to preventable harm.

Your gift to Lifebox changes that, fueling proven programs that empower surgical teams, strengthen infection prevention, provide essential tools, and respond quickly to new patient safety needs.

Every contribution helps ensure that a child wakes up safely after surgery, a mother recovers without infection, and a family walks out of the hospital together.

Because when surgery is safe, families stay whole.

$50 USD CAN
STRENGTHEN SURGICAL TEAMWORK

$50USD can support a Safe Operating Room (OR) course participant. Safe OR improves operating room teamwork and communication by training participants on the essentials of safe surgical care, emphasizing the importance of human factors and non-technical skills in surgery.

$100 USD CAN
TRANSFORM PERIOPERATIVE NURSING

$100USD can help a nurse participate in Nursing Leadership for Surgical Excellence (NSLE), Lifebox’s program to improve perioperative nursing care processes and practices in order to better patient outcomes.

$150 USD CAN
COMBAT OPERATING ROOM LIGHTING CONSTRAINTS

$150USD can supply a surgical provider with a Lifebox Light to combat the surgical lighting gap. 400,00 surgical providers work in health facilities with lighting issues that expose patients undergoing surgery to complications that can lead to death.

$250 USD CAN
REVOLUTIONIZE ANESTHESIA SAFETY

$250USD can supply an anesthesia provider in need with a pulse oximeter. Though a pulse oximeter is the only piece of equipment included on the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist, thousands of operating rooms around the world lack this essential device.

$500 USD CAN
FIGHT SURGICAL SITE INFECTION

$500USD can support Clean Cut training for a surgical team. Clean Cut reduces surgical infection by strengthening adherence to six key infection prevention practice.

$1,000 USD CAN
CLOSE THE GLOBAL CAPNOGRAPHY GAP

$1,000USD can equip an operating room in need with a Smile Train-Lifebox Capnograph. Capnography is a critical tool that monitors whether a patient is receiving enough oxygen during anesthesia, yet remains virtually absent in low-resource settings.
